THE MAGIC WORDS ARE: “SPECIAL DIET”
Last weekend when my parents were in Reno, I went to the waterpark with them while Josh was at work. This waterpark, greedy as they are, has a NO FOOD NO DRINK rule. You have to leave the park to eat outside food and drink and you aren’t allowed to bring water bottles in unless they are sealed Smart Water or Dasani bottles.
We had an entire bag of sandwiches, fruit and snacks that were all Weight Watcher’s friendly. By declaring it at the entrance (they searched our bags…) and claiming I was on a special diet (which isn’t totally a lie), they agreed to put the food in some back room for us. They told us to come get it from them and we could take it outside and eat it there when we got hungry.
Well, when we got hungry, luckily, my parents decided to stand in line to get a drink. I thought they were getting food so that’s what I told the staff member. She told me that she didn’t think we were allowed to take the inside food outside for some reason. She ended up giving me our entire bag of food and my waterbottle back and told me that I could eat it inside as long as if anyone questioned me, I told them I was diabetic or something.
This was pretty awesome so we took the food over to the over 21 island in the park, where there wasn’t a lot of people, and sat in some shade.
Hooray for exceptions!
